Historically women were part of real estate from the early 1800’s, although mostly clerical roles. Around 1880 slowly women began to enter into sales as brokers and agents. Moving ahead in the 1950’s and 60’s the real trailblazers trickled in and with some outstanding results started to break down remaining barriers and stereotyping.
Steadily through the end of the 1900’s many more made their mark, today there is an equality of recognition, in residential real estate the glass ceiling was shattered. Today women in real estate have gained recognition as a force in real estate, indeed some clients prefer to work with the ladies of this business.
Many believe that having a women represent them brings a more intuitive sense of what they the customer is looking for, the important and necessary things that makes a house a home.
